Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We guarantee that after you have completed a 200YTT with us, you will be confident enough to teach an entire 60-minute Vinyasa beginner class. We want our students to teach each other very early in the training, on the second day. This puts everyone at ease when they find out that teaching is not that frightening after all.
Yes you can!
In an ideal world, everyone should be able to dedicate one month of their life every ten years to explore the new layers.
Not everyone wants to become a yoga teacher. Our courses are designed for those looking to immerse themselves in a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual transformation through the lens of yoga. Even if teaching is not your goal, you will dive deeper into your practice, share a unique transformational experience and be supported by like-minded people.
However, as it is a teacher training course, the curriculum is geared towards teaching, and all trainees are expected to achieve learning outcomes regardless of personal goals. Our TTC is not a retreat. For more information on our retreats, please see our retreat pages.
Yes! The rules and regulations of international travel require you to have a visa. Some countries do not need a visa. Check with the Indian Embassy in your country if you need a visa. India’s visa policy is not as strict as in other countries. A tourist visa will suit you, as the course duration is not long. Please make sure your visa covers the course period. Be careful.
Comfortable and appropriate yoga wear. In your free time, we suggest you bring light, loose clothes, preferably cotton material. You may want to get a light jumper for the early morning or the occasional breezy evening; however, they are rarely used. We suggest that you respect Indian culture by dressing appropriately, especially if you are planning to travel to North India. Goa, however, is more relaxed, and you can wear what you wish (within reason) without any fuss. Swimsuits and bikinis are acceptable, but no topless sunbathing is allowed.
There are also laundry services available throughout the course.
You will need to pay a 400 euro deposit to secure your place. This is payable through Wise or bank transfer. The rest is due one week before arrival.
Please bring something white to wear for your Graduation Ceremony. This is tradition. There will be heaps of opportunities for photographs on this day and it looks really special if everyone is in white. if you do not have anything white bring something light coloured and it should be fine.
We recommend you to bring your own personal, good quality yoga mat and we also have yoga mats for you to use. However, different varieties of Yoga mats are available to purchase near our yoga school, for approx. 400-500 INR, but these mats, most often get destroyed with a month and are not very eco-friendly.
Check in is 3pm. If you arrive before 3pm and your room is ready, we will check you in. Otherwise, you can arrive any time on Check In Day and hang out at Bhankti Kurtir. It is a beautiful place to explore before the course.
The dates listed on the website are the Check In and Check Out Days. So, if the course start date is 12th January, you will start on 12th January .
Please contact us before the course if you wish to stay extra night before or after the course. According to available we may be able to accommodate your request.

Each day typically starts with meditation/pranayama, followed by asana practice (including yin yoga sessions), lectures, posture clinic, practice teaching, and evening integrations.
Our retreat centre is in South Goa yoga region, close to friendly beaches and nature. The nearest airport is Dabolim (Goa International). From there, you can take a taxi or arranged transfer to our centre. We are one of the trusted Goa retreat centres for immersive teacher training and yoga retreats.
Bring comfortable fiber-breathable yoga clothes, a good mat (though we also provide mats). Lightweight loose clothing is useful for free time; something warm for early mornings if needed.

Absolutely. In both the yin yoga teacher training segments and throughout the 200- and 300--hour programs, modifications are offered. Our teachers work with you where you are; some poses may come later. The focus is on safe, sustainable practices, not on perfect postures from day one.
Outside scheduled class hours, you’ll spend time reading, journaling, and working on assignments. Expect around 4-6 hours per week of written or practical work. In 300-hour training, there will also be deeper anatomy, sequencing, and teaching practicum tasks.
Yes. To meet the Yoga Alliance standards and to be certified, full attendance is required. If you miss sessions due to illness or emergency, we’ll offer make-up assignments so you can cover the required hours. Without meeting attendance requirements, you may receive a “participation” status instead of full certification.
