A Yin Yoga Training Rooted in Place, Practice & Integration
This training combines Yin Yoga, Chinese Medicine, functional anatomy, nervous system awareness, and seasonal living in a small-group residential setting in Nishiawakura, Okayama.
Rather than learning Yin Yoga only as a set of postures, you will explore how each shape can become a space for listening to the body, the breath, the tissues, the emotions, and the subtle flow of energy.
The village, the food, the morning walks, the onsen, and the mountain shalas are part of the learning environment, supporting integration as much as study.

Our 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training takes place in Nishiawakura Village, Okayama, Japan — a quiet mountain village ideal for meditation, stillness, and embodied study.
Nishiawakura is not only the location of this training — it is part of the practice. The mountains, forests, quiet mornings, seasonal food, and slower village rhythm all support the Yin qualities of listening, receiving, and integration.
Surrounded by mountains and forest, Nishiawakura offers a quiet setting away from the pace of the city — a place where students can slow down, listen more deeply, and reconnect with the natural rhythms of the body and the seasons.
The village is located near the borders of Tottori and Hyogo Prefectures, in a landscape shaped by forests, rivers, local craftsmanship, and a strong sense of community. It is an ideal environment for a Yin Yoga training, where stillness, observation, and subtle awareness are central to the practice.
During the training, the natural surroundings become part of the learning experience. Morning walks, mountain air, seasonal food, quiet evenings, and time in nature all support the intention of the course: to create space for integration, reflection, and embodied understanding.
Nokishita Toshokan also serves fresh vegan and vegetarian meals, prepared with care and inspired by the seasons.
Accommodation
During your stay, you will be accommodated in a traditional Japanese house with tatami floors, wooden walls, and a simple, peaceful atmosphere.

Yes. YOGART COLLECTIVE is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School, and this 50-hour Yin Yoga training is offered as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education course.

No. This training is open to yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, therapists, and dedicated students who wish to deepen their Yin Yoga practice.
