50-HOUR YOGA CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING | FRANCE
12th OCTOBER - 18th OCTOBER 2026
EMBODIED PRACTICE
INTELLIGENT TEACHING
LES LANDES , FRANCE
WITH ROWENA JOHNSON AND OLIVIER CHARLES
About the Training
This 50-hour continuing education immersion is designed for yoga teachers who want to refine their personal practice, deepen their anatomical perception, and teach with greater clarity, sensitivity, and intelligence.
Over one week in southwestern France, we will explore functional anatomy, hands-on assists, pranayama, mantra, self-practice, and integration — not as separate subjects but as living tools for embodied teaching.
What to expect
-
Establish and refine your self-practice (asana, breath, and meditation)
-
Comprehensive investigation and deep insights into functional anatomy and the movement patterns of the spine
-
Understanding and precise application of therapeutic principles, enabling you to confidently advise modifications for injuries or limitations
-
Develop expertise in supporting diverse bodies through skillful hands-on assists
-
Seamlessly integrate theoretical knowledge with embodied experience
-
Cultivate a robust and sustainable pranayama practice
-
Learn foundational mantra practices for deepening your spiritual connection

This training is for you if you are:
We’ve designed this training for yoga teachers, meaning you already have 500hrs of training under your belt or you’ve completed a 200hr vinyasa teacher training and are actively teaching asana classes.
We recognised that too few opportunities exist for yoga teachers who wish to continue their education but do not need another 200hr or 300hrs. Instead what is desired is a training that expands your knowledge and understanding around specific topics that you were not able to fully synthesise during your 200hr and 300hr trainings. This is by no means a fault of yours or of those trainings, the journey to becoming an experienced yoga teacher takes time, continuous curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
Why this training is different?
This is not a training built around collecting techniques. It is a week of practice, perception, and response.
You will study anatomy through the body, assists through listening, pranayama through daily rhythm, and teaching through direct experience. The emphasis is not on performing more advanced shapes, but on seeing more clearly: how bodies move, how students respond, and how practice can be adapted with intelligence and care.

Asana & Self-Practice — 12 Hours
Morning classes are a blend of led practices and guided self-practice.
Led classes are directly connected to the focus of each day’s lecture, allowing you to embody the theory through movement. Self-practice time offers space to explore, integrate, and make the practice your own.
As teachers, cultivating a consistent self-practice is essential. It is through personal experience that we truly embody what we wish to transmit to others. For this reason, we place strong emphasis on creating supportive conditions for self-practice.
During these sessions, teachers will be present to observe, guide, and support you as needed.
Functional Anatomy & Therapeutic Principles - 10hrs
Deepen your understanding of functional anatomy, with a focus on the spine and how bodies move in real life — not just how poses look.
You will explore the principal movements of the spine, individual anatomical variation, and how to adapt alignment for sustainable, intelligent movement. This module encourages curiosity over rigidity, helping you recognize diversity in bodies and make informed, responsive teaching choices.
The Yoga Therapy component introduces therapeutic principles and practical modifications for common injuries or limitations. Through movement labs and somatic awareness practices, you’ll learn to use yoga as a tool for healing, nervous system regulation, and mindful self-practice.
Hands-On Assists, Consent & Skillful Touch - 10hrs
The Language of Asana Assists
Learn how to listen, feel, and communicate through touch.
Hands-on assists have the potential to awaken new or forgotten sensations, support clarity of movement, and help refine or reset habitual patterns. Each day, we will review a selection of asanas to clarify their intention, identify key points of support, and explore what makes an assist clear, respectful, and effective.
Emphasis is placed on presence, consent, sensitivity, and quality of touch rather than force or correction.
Pranayama & Nervous System Awareness - 6hrs
Pranayama is a subtle yet potent and essential component of a well-rounded yoga practice. In this training, you will develop a personal pranayama practice that you can carry into your day-to-day life and develop over time.
Mantra, Bhakti & Philosophy - 5hrs
Devotional chanting brings us into states of connection beyond theoretical analysis. Over the course of the week you will learn a selection of mantras, their historical meanings, and correct pronunciation.
Integration, Reflection & Teaching Application - 7hrs+
At the end of each day, you will have a mix of review and reflection questions to help you integrate and assimilate the knowledge shared throughout the day.
